Oneplus 8, 8t or 8 pro?

Bayron

So recently got burned by samsung s20(exynos(I live in EU) ) because of very bad battery, so I returned it and now im on hunt for new phone.

Decided to go for oneplus, because new samungs will come whit exynos and I don't want to get burned 2nd time.

So which is the better value for money from those onepluses?

Is the 90hz on 8 noticeably worse than 120hz(currently have poco x3 nfc whit 120hz screen) ?

Is even pro worth paying extra(I can get 8t, 8 at same price)?

Dose 12gb ram is better than 8 on them(I'm not a heavy user, all ways close apps when stop using them) ?

I know oneplus will soon release new phones, but I don't think they will be that much better(maybe the 888 in them but I think current cpu is good for years to come).

P. S I can get 12/256 GB oneplus 8 at the same price as 8t 8/128gb.

Tnx for help :)

Poco X3 NFC is quite recent... you still want another phone? If the software bugs you, there are custom roms.

Do you need 256GB storage?

The 8T is a marginally bigger phone than the 8. Battery also marginally bigger. Screen on the 8T is flat

I own a OP7P and while the 90Hz screen looks nice, it actually uses more battery for no impact on my usage. I dont like curved screens because it introduces edge reflections and is hard to protect.

Yes software on poco is shit, have many bugs, and Im not a man of doing other roms 🙄 too lazy for that.😁

Easyer is to buy new phone, I liked curved edges on S20, if they are the same.

They are so similar that it's hard to choose.

The curve on the S20 is more aggressive than OnePlus's designs. Which is better as a smaller portion of screen is curved.

Also if you wanted a Samsung with Snapdragon chipset, there is the S20 FE 5G which uses SD865 globally

No, didn't like fe, and 5g variant is 250 more than regular and oneplus 8 or 8t🙈

So it's more to design of phone on 8 or 8t, sadly can't touch either of them, because no store in my region has them in display(only nord lineup is).

What about updates, 8t I guess will get one more android major update over 8,cuz it Android 11 out of the box.

Well I have found oneplus 8 12/256 for 635 euros and 8t 8m128 for 635, same price but duble storage for 8. Those are the cheapest options in stores 😅

If you dont see yourself filling up 100GB of storage, then just take the 8T 128GB

Ahh yes it would be wise to buy 8 then, for proofing, but in general I have never even used more than 10 gb of phones memory even in 64gb models, but than again I always have used phones whit SD cards slot and SD card 😒 currently have 32gb card for local backups 🙈

Seems you don't need 256GB of storage. The bigger battery and flat screen would do more for you in terms of "proofing" than storage space that you might never use.

Ahh maybe your right 🙈
