Ryzen 5 3600/Asus B350-F Gaming unable to change CPU core voltage

After being informed by @Letgomyleghoe that 1.45V for a 4.3 GHz overclock on my 3600 was high, I went to change it.

Here's the problem: I can't.

I can enable/disable DOCP (set to 3200 14-14-14-31), change the core voltage to Auto or Offset mode, but I can't change the CPU ratio, the offset voltage, or the voltage directly.

Does anyone know why?

In these menus to better describe what you are saying, can you hit F12 and take some screen shots?

Sure!
Here you go:

Spoiler

210115231654.BMP - Upper part

210115231641.BMP - lower part

I'm too lazy to convert them

No I did not assign them the NTFS-killing icon

SO where where the drop down is on the v-core, you click the box and the option is not available for manual? I don't see that part of the issue. Click the box with the little down arrow and take an SS of that please?

That's not v-core. Probably why you can't change it to manual. Are you running the VDDCR that high for memory stability or something?

I didn't set this at all.

The Asus Ai Suite 3 program + my dad did.
I know almost nothing about overclocking.

Do you know where I can find the V-core setting?

Never mind. That IS the Cpu v-core voltage. I don't know why they put VDDCR in there like that. My apologies. This bios looks different from my board, and it's an ROG board too.

Huh, weird.

Any idea what I should do?
I'd like to be able to fun F@H without tripping my power strip (yes, this actually happened - and the only other active devices on it were my monitors) and heating up the room.

F@H doesn't pay out well on CPU work units. It's not worth the energy to run them. (IMO)

Incrementally lower clocks/voltage until it's not stable. Closer to 1.3v the better.

I can't change the CPU ratio, either. It's grayed out.

How?
I can't change it manually and I can't change it with offset.

Yeah that's kinda strange as F.

Is the bios updated, tried any other bios revisions even older ones if you're on the newest?

I'm on 5406. Newest is 5603.

Should I update and see if that fixes it?

I don't think it would hurt to try. Clear cmos before the update though.

Is there an option in the BIOS to do that or do I have to remove the CMOS battery, etc.?

Yes you can set factory defaults in bios. Same thing really. Clear cmos will also remove passwords, something setting defaults does not do.

Well, I spent an hour:

1. Updating the BIOS

2. Realizing I was dumb
3. Setting my overclock settings
4. Resetting the CMOS because it didn't like it

5. Repeating steps 3 and 4 2 more times

6. Setting my overclock settings one at a time (DOCP, 4.2 GHz, 4.3 GHz, 4.325 GHz, 4.3 GHz, 4.325 GHz)

7. Setting up my boot order

8. Setting the clock (it's not January 1st, 2017 by any means)

9. Booting into Windows

10. Realizing I only have 1/3 of my cables plugged in (so no Ethernet, webcam, fingerprint reader - not working, floppy drive, external Zip drive, and FireWire cable), and don't have my side panel on

11. Connecting everything up

12. Making sure it works

13. Writing this message

And all that to just update my BIOS from 5406 to 5603.

By the way, setting the voltage to 1.4 via offset made it not work.

So I guess I'm stuck with 1.45V at 4.3 GHz.

So some things will never change.

So why not run a modest OC 4.1ghz? Lower the voltage, stay cooler. For F@H, you want low low voltage. The performance loss isn't very large for Cpu WU (IMO)

I did some with a 2700X. I found at the max P-state (which is 3.7ghz 1.212v) it made good points and ran nice and cool too. (Boosty stuff off)

I'll just run F@H on my GPU. I've got 2, so I can dedicate one to F@H only (I think that's how it works?)

It won't be fast, but it will be there.

Also the GPUs don't run as hot - they've got a 190mm fan blowing on them.

Air goes in the side, out the back, through an external fan, through my Phenom tower, and warms my dad's feet.

I spent way too much time setting it up.

That's what I do. I'm running a single RTX 2060. https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=819015
