LG OLED vs Philips Momentum HDR Problem

ChrisLoudon

Hi guys, I have a PC in the livingroom connected to a 2016 65" LG OLED via HDMI and a bedroom PC connected to a Philips Momentum 436M6 via DP.

The issue I am having is when i click the Windows HDR toggle or let the the application / game switch automatically the difference between these 2 screens is night a day.

On the LG even the windows desktop remained virtually unchanged with colours and brightness as they should while on the Philips everything goes dull, grey and washed out.

I can confirm the effect remains with both 10bit rgb or ycbcr 4:2:0 8 bit with dithering and I have tried the same PC on both displays to rule that out.

Any ideas, as this screen was touted as 'great for HDR' but it just aint.

Cheers
