Buying a used 1080ti in 2021?

So, tommorow my new pc parts will arrive (i5-10400F, 16GB HyperX RAM, B460M, Crucial MX500, some cheap Antec case, Be Quiet PSU). I originally wanted a 1660 Super, but all are sold out. Just found some used 1080TI's (most are about a year old) for ~€200. Would this still be good right now? Or should I wait for 1660S restocks, or another GPU?

The 1080 ti is WAY faster than a 1660S

1080ti over 1660s all day. Also, just letting you know it isn't 2020 anymore.

The 1080 ti blows a 1660 Super out of the water, but since used 1080 ti's are still selling for ~$500 (€409) on eBay, I would be highly skeptical of finding fully functional ones for so little.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

That price for a used 1080 Ti seems good. I've seen lesser cards go for around that much in the last month or so.

Here in the Netherlands people sell their 1080ti's for way cheaper ;). Out of like 15 advertisements only 1 was €400, all others were €170-250. 

 

 

 

Just another question, would this card be good enough for the next 3-4 years? Or should I wait a bit longer and get a slightly newer card?

Sold my 1080ti for $460 this past weekend to someone local, so no fees or anything off the top.  Was quite happy with that.
