Requesting assistance with hot rodding this turd!

TWATGOBBLER

Budget (including currency): $200-$500 ?+/- US DOLLARS

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for : ROBLOX AND whatever else a 10 yr old girl can figure out what to do with a OCULUS RIFT s and maybe some after hours when everyones asleep some virtual ladies for daddy! lol

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Ok so first off I am not no computer guy here I can find music and porn just fine on this porn getter and thats about it thats all I use it for but my daughter is all over this thing playing games ,I know she spends the hell out of my money on that damn ROBLOX game and she plays some pretty badass shoot em up game with her friends online no clue what it is but heres my problem ...I got her one of them OCULUS RIFT s VR things for christmas and was going to buy her a new computer that would of worked just fine for it for her birthday on the 2nd .But grandparents beat me too it and so now I have to jimmy a video card and whatever else into this thing so when granny comes over it is working just fine and my kids dancing around breaking all sorts of crap in her room as shes got this VR thing on . Now I heard from this guy that you dudes and chicks were top knotch computer wizards over here and knew your stuff so here I am requesting your knowledge if you dont mind sharing. Now this thing pretty much just has to work and hopefully not be bottom of the barrel and give the kid a bad experience where she starts pukin because I got her junky equipment . so Im shooting for maybe mid range or the best I can do @ $200ish us dollars I am willing to spend more if its worth it to work right . Now this little DELL INSPIRON 3670 ( that does not have to necessarily stay in that tiny case I do have bigger)  is running an INTEL CORE i5 8400 with a userbenchmark score of 85.3% and some 12GB of ram with a score of 66.2%, SSD 256GB score 155.4% , INTEL UHD GRAPHICS 630 Score of 5.3% lol the benchmarks were gaming 12%,Desk 78%, work 11% ! So we got some real work ahead here to turn this turd into something that will be able to make this VR thing work im thinkin. But if you all could just please tell me what to do and what I need to buy without killin what little money I do make now that this damn virus has killed my job and left me sittin and not even able to collect unemployment due to all the fraud going on here in California USA Too bad that would be awesome ,but anyways THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE for your time and help with this turd polishing ive got us all into now for my little girl she will be stoked once its going ! Thankjs again and have a great day everyone

interesting name..? lol

Chucking in a graphics card would help a lot. Something like a 3060ti (if you can find one in stock). GPUs are hard to come by right now but if you can't find an RTX 3060ti for under $500 (preferably $400-450) then look for a 2060 for under $350.

also porn on the same computer your 10 year old uses may not be the best idea..

Well this thing needs:

* A gpu

* 16 gb or ram

* An HDD for the games, Modern games are HUUUGGE

Now any GPU will be better than the onboard one and you should not go below an Nvidia 1060.

For HDD you want a 7200 rpm one with lots of cache and not those slow 5400 rpm ones

For ram i assume you have 8+4 sticks ? If so get an identical 8gb one.

Hey thanks for the reply my friend ,way cool of you . But ok so this thing has 2 slots for the ram pretty sure its ddr4 2666mhz some crazy no name bottom of the barrel junk dell slaps in and yeah the 12 gb it has benchmark said something like only 8gb was available. idfk but I just need this dang thing to work and be stable for a wee bit longer until I can build her a better one with real brand name parts lol. Now onto this HDD matter now I know the 7200rpm is a must but what would be a good cache number to be looking for ? Ok onward to the gpu I checked on Oculus' site and Nvidia gtx 1060 is what their rec is for the graphics card but not sure what all this mumbo jumbo is about with the "ti" and "founders edition" and "overclocked" is all about and how i prob dont want that or do I ?

 I was reading some stuff and these wizards were saying a gtx 1050ti founders edition would smoke even a 1080 and thats what I should get . Yeah FU buddy that lil "ti" tacked on adds few hundred more bucks so 1060 it is then if I can even find one that's not close to or over $400 now lol ,prices are insane right now on gpu's hell im on some notification deal where when a store gets delivery I get a text but even then if you are not already in the truck heading to the store right then they will sell out by the time I get off work . Now would you trust ebay or hell no way Jose! Anyway thanks for the help sorry if I wasa rambling im dead tired

I trust ebay, personally have had no issues with it, however there is still a risk when buying second hand. I also recommend getting either a 2000, or 3000 series nvidia gpu, as time advances these games get harder to run, and older pieces of hardware tend to struggle a lot more. You may not run in to many problems today, that 1060 isn't exactly going to handle things flawlessly while time and games continue to advance.

I can play Forza, Metro Exodus, Tekken and lots of other games in triple screen 5040x1050 resolution 48:10 aspect ratio. With a humble 1060

60+ Frames in Metro Exodus and 160+ Frames in rFactor2. All in triple screen 5040x1050 48:10 aspect ratio. Obviously using just the center screen FPS increase.
