Hotter temps in UHD ?

Is it normal for CPU temps to increase when in UHD ?

I used to play CP2077 in 1080p, now im in 1440p @ high, my CPU temps are about 65c

 

Ryzen 5 3600

Noctua NHU12s

What graphics card do you have? If you're loading the GPU more, it's probably increasing your case ambient temperature.

 

In any case, 65C is perfectly fine.

Looking at ryzen master, now i'm in 1440p in high, there is much higher CPU usage so that probably explains it

More performance needed to squeeze out from both GPU and CPU, also GPU fan design is moving hot air to CPU cooler, so that also makes CPU run hotter. Anyway, temps aren't issue so it doesn't really matter.
