Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS - DRAM error

Voy

Hello all,

I just got Ryzen 5 5600X + Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS + Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 32GB (2x16GB) 3600 MHz RAM

And everything is working okay, but when I enable XMP or change RAM speed to 3600MHz Motherboard goes into DRAM Error and will not boot.

When I change RAM speed to 3200MHz manually it works fine.

Any Ideas?

I have latest BIOS.

Sounds pretty normal. The memory controller is good for up to 3200mhz, and past that is overclocking. In a lot of cases, XMP doesn't work at 3600mhz without user intervention, and even then, still not a promise.

If it's stable at 3200mhz, just enjoy at that frequency. There is not a large performance uplift from 3200mhz - 3600mhz.

it may be an bios bug or issue till that time run it on 3200 mhz

Thank you for your replies.

Yeah it works great at 3200MHz.

Might wait and see if anything changes with bios updates.

Just an update on that.

I still have same issues. My friend just upgraded to Ryzen 7 5800X and his ram is working fine at 3600MHz - Only difference is that he has RGB version of it.

Any ideas why mine would not work? Could it be faulty?
