your only options are to either

buy memory with no heatsinks

buy another MB

or take the heatsinks off the memory or at least one of them :(

I just got my ram sticks, the g.skill trident z rgb 2400mhz CL15 2x8, and i can't fit my second stick in it's too thick to fit

Hello

Can i ask is your "ddr4 slot" a ddr4 slot and have you try to turn it.
have you opened the holders (idk how its called) on the mother board

and if its all right just press a little harder not too much if it doesn't go in

and if u cant sell the ram and buy a new one

you're likely putting them in the wrong slots. It should be in slots 2 and 4 on your board, not 1 and 2. (assuming your board has 4 DIMM slots)

what board do you have? There should be enough clearance for the sticks to fit.

What motherboard are you using? RAM manufacturers are usually pretty good at making the heatsinks thin enough to where the sticks can populate slots directly next to each other.

ahhh, looks like a cheaper budget board, its possible they DIMM slots are closer together than usual. Not rare, but definitely not common either.

Ah, non-standard motherboard. Stuff like that'll get you.
