can this link steal my ip address?

Hey!

 

one of my friends on steam tried scamming me with a link.... is there anyway this link can steal my ip address?

It's possible but I doubt it. Not much they can really do with it. Most likely gonna appear as a legit Steam site and hope you log in without noticing it's fake, and then boom, there goes your account.

That would likely be as scam, if it's actually "steamcommunity" then it's legit...
