There are health problems with blanketing your home with 24/7 wi-fi too, but no doubt I'll be answering comments for the next thirty years with the non-believers...so that might be for another day...but I'd keep that in mind.

Stating unproven theories, such as this, is not addressing the OP's question... please do not post things that will intentionally or unintentionally derail the topic.

Thank you.

hey guys, so I'm looking to build a new PC and since my house isn't wired with ethernet I was looking at motherboards with WIFI 6 compatibility. I'm paring that with the new Ryzen 5600x and an MSI RTX 3070. My question is would I be better to get a non-WIFI mobo and get a WIFI 6 adapter instead. My budget for a motherboard is around $150-$190. If you have any suggestions on which mobo or adapter would work best for my build, I would appreciate you greatly linking me the part.

If you can't go wired, consider powerline networking adapters.

If you're looking for AX compatibility, it's almost certainly going to be cheaper to just get a motherboard with wifi built in. It saves you a PCIe slot, too.

Yup, and in my experience built in wi-fi works a lot better than cheap PCIe cards. Plus you almost always get Bluetooth as well.

I recommend getting a motherboard with built in Wi-Fi. In case you do not have access to Ethernet it makes life easy.

Here are your options:
