Dell XPS 13 9370 Battery Advice.

Hi guys.

My XPS 13 9370 battery has been slowly dying so its about time I ordered a new one. I have seen several 3rd party offerings that are avalible for alot cheaper than Dell's offering. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with a third party battery that worked well as I am nervous about buying something thats going to die much faster than the official offering.

I have never purchased a replacement battery for a laptop as I have previously used very cheap laptops that would become unbearably slow long before the battery died in the past so I know absolutely nothing about the topic.

Any information on a good pick or just telling me to bite the bullet and pay what Dell are asking would be greatly appriciated.

If your going 3-rd party, just double check the reviews before you make the purchase. Also, compare mAh of the genuine and the replacement battery in question. (The higher the mAh of the battery, the better).

If you need me to follow up on something, please quote or tag me.

how much is the battery from dell and how much is it from 3rd party?

It looks like about £60 for a 3rd party and £100 for the Dell one. So about a 55 USD difference

try calling dell and saying that I can buy the same battery on the 3rd party website. they might give you a discount. unlikely but worth a try. if the difference is <40usd that I would much rather go with dell as it will be an official part and more likely to last longer.

With a price difference like that I'd just go for the OEM one. That said, I have purchased a battery off of eBay before to replace a dangerously dead one in my Samsung ultrabook. Worked flawlessly for another 4 years, and I sold it on. Just make sure it has good reviews and you should be fine.

Thank you this is kinda what I was thinking. I think with my limited knowlege in the area the only way I would have gone for a 3rd party is if someone had have actually used one reliably and told me what they used. Thank you for the help.
