Text box transfers to other devices

Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

Type text into a text box and then send / post it then when going to another text box on another device the text from sent box transfers

 

What happened?

Text box transfers to other devices

 

What did you expect to happen?

 

I expect it to give me a new fresh text box

i have the opposite problem where if i type something in my phone, but decided i need to add something from my desktop

i go to my desktop and open the text box, it's empty, even though (i think) there's caching, unless it's locally cached

The autosaves are stored locally on your device, so they shouldn't be transferring unless your browser is syncing everything between your devices, and I'm not aware of any browsers that do that (it would show up as also syncing your logged in state on all sites).

I'm using chrome on all devices, also this happens in DM as I can see

Do you have chrome sync turned on?

That's most likely to be the issue here. It's certainly not a forum feature, and not something that we can control.

I see but do you know if there is a reason for it only happening in dms?

None at all, but the forum isn't doing anything that would try to restore between devices so I don't think there is anything that I can do to control this.

Okay thankw for the help tho will try to see if I can turn of chrome sync
