How can I make portrait video in Final Cut Pro?

How can I make a portrait video in Final Cut Pro? I was making a video and only when I exported it from Final Cut did I realise that it was portrait not landscape, even though my video is recorded on a phone, which meant it could not be a YouTube short. Any ideas of how to make the video vertical in Final Cut?
