is 120 hz worth it for tablet/mobile gaming ?

Hello, I was always against mobile gaming but now I tried Cod:Mobile and GTA:SA with xbox controller and I am positively suprised. I am about to travel a lot so I do consider to upgrade from my 60hz Ipad Air 2019 to Samsung Galaxy TAB S7 with 120hz screen. Do you think its worth it ? Is 120hz gaming noticeable on mobile device ? In pc gaming its night and day going from 60 to 120 but I am not sure about tablet. Thank you

I don't really think there would be that much of a difference. Of course if you have no choice then feel free to upgrade, otherwise unless you have a huge budget I wouldn't suggest it. Obviously, it's all up to you though.

I don't think it will make a difference

The Samsung tab S7 cannot run cod at higher frames rates with good graphics so it's pointless to upgrade 

If you are into less graphic intensify racing games maybe you will see a difference.

And 60hz is probably a good experience in GTA

Mobile devices have batteries, its best to sacrifice frames and resolution for more battery life, unless you will use it plugged in a lot.

For anyone asking them self a similar question. No, This tablet shines when used for work or drawing, but I still reach for my phone or switch to play games. If you need a work tablet, then I highly recommend the tab 7s. As for the drawing, in my opinion, it works a lot better than my wacom drawing slate.  I use the tab 7s constantly and still never play games on it, if you purchase it to play games I believe you will be very disappointed.

However, higher power consumption = bad.

Also note that a lot of phones, notably iPhones and specific Samsung devices have 60Hz displays with accurate frame syncing.

This is a very late reply so I’m sure you’ve already made up your mind. But I play COD Mobile on my iPad Pro 2018 and playing at 120hz is a HUGE difference compared to 60. It just feels so much more fluid.

you will get an advantage but most games got fps lockers so 60hz is worser than 120 so go 120 but remember it depends on the games plus you get that more power from the tab s7 so youy will hit 120 so yeah if i was you do it but on a budget don't  btw another option is the m1 ipad but dont buy it because it may fuck of by apple suport and repairs also they try to lock the device
