Depends if the rest of your PC can keep the RTX 3080 happy. You may end up upgrading your system and replacing the PSU with a 1000 Watt or greater unit in order to make that happen. Question is, what games do you play. Unless you do fast paced FPS, the higher frame rates don't really matter that much.

If you actually want 4k@144hz, the best card you can afford. This PCMag article ought to give you an idea: https://www.pcmag.com/news/ultimate-pc-gaming-what-does-it-take-to-play-at-4k-and-144hz

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

i highly recommend sticking with 1440p for now, 27GL850 maybe? unless you prefer the smaller pixels, i've seen both and the colors are pretty much the same, not sure of it's worth 1k usd, and gpus simply aren't ready for 4k/144hz yet, either way 3080/6800xt/6900xt is the choice here for cards that are already out, or 3080ti if u can wait.

theres not a huge advantage of 4k at 27" IMO. 1440 is the sweet spot.

But if you do go 4k, then as above, the fastest GPU you can afford, even a 3080 or 6800xt wont be able to maintain 4k 120 in some games. Though, granted, the games you list arent the most taxing.

My Gaming machine is hooked up to an LG B9, which seems to have issues with audio when switching resolutions, so i tend to stick with 4k even though its pointless, but as a result it really does chug on some games even with a 3060ti.
