Logical upgrade path from 3060ti

My 3060ti founders is struggling on my 3440x1440 ultra wide 144hz monitor. Can’t reach more than 100-120 FPS in most games. Would a theoretical 3070ti be best? Decided against a 3080 because it only has 10gb vram. Had a 6800 briefly but missed out on DLSS and the drivers were unstable so I sold it. Also had a 3070 lol. But the difference between it and the 3060 was so little I couldn’t justify the price difference lol.

If it feels fine to game on get rid of your FPS counter and don't worry about it. If your feel you need to hit 144FPS minimum get a 3080 (10Gb Vram is enough) or wait for the eventual 3080Ti.

Agree with this - RDR2 feels smooth even at 80-90 FPS (1440p Ultra detail with a 6800). If you are forever chasing higher frames then it will mean frequent

upgrades as games become more demanding. That’s fine of course if you have the money. 
So you sold a 3070 to buy a 3060 Ti? What was the point in that? I sold my 3070 to buy a 6800 because I wasn’t that impressed with ray tracing.

10GB's of vram should be more than enough for 2,5k for some time.

You can pay a bunch more for more vram, question is when the time comes that it matters, will the card matter?

 

I'd say get a 3080 or a 6800xt if you really want the vram.

 

If you don't want AMD then it's up to you if you want to wait for the 3080ti and potentially pay 300$ more for vram, while that money could go to a future gpu
