Best processor around ~$300USD for gaming

Well I would got with either of those two options, but going into the future with triple A titles, game developers will start to utilize multi cores (look at Cyberpunk 2077) and just an 8 core processor in today's world is like me buying a 4C/8T processor from years ago. So why would you go and buy this 8 core processor for ~$300 when there are better options out there, especially Ryzen for gaming. That's like me going to take out my 4790K imo (and that was a $300 processor back in 2015).
IF you want more stability than the best performance, Intel still offers some great chips as well. Then you have another condition with how well game developers utilize the technologies AMD and Intel offer for game performance. Some games will be biased towards Intel or AMD and give more FPS than their counterpart. And one last thing to note on is supplies of AMD's Ryzen 5000 processors are very limited, just like AMD 6000 series graphics cards and Nvidia RTX 30 series graphics cards.
