got extra money for computer, what should i spend it on

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): rn i got an i5 4590, 16gb ddr3, 500w psu, 2 tb+ of storage, and an rx 570. im gonna keep the graphics card, the 500w psu, and. the ssd and hard drive. everything else im upgrading. so far i got this parts list which has either purchased stuff or the prices at microcenter on cpu and motherboard. i should already be able to afford it all for like 400 to 450, but now i have an extra 250 to spend, so should i get a better graphics card, cpu, etc, or spend it on something not computer related

With the planned upgrade config, I think the gpu would be the next thing you would want to upgrade. So id spend that $250 on something else, or wait for gpus to come down in price.

I would save the 250 dollars for a video card down the line when stock and prices go back to normal and there are actually lower end cards available.

For the storage, get an SSD. Samsung has good internal SSDs. The case is good, but if you're willing to spend slightly more, I would get this. And for the motherboard, get one with WiFi. Asus has good WiFi motherboards. They might be slightly out of your budget, but you can compare prices on PCPartPicker. 

 

With the extra money, I would upgrade your GPU. But make sure the CPU and GPU aren't extrememly far from each other in performance, since you don't want bottlenecking.
