EVGA RTX 2060 super w/ Ryzen 5 2600. Is Ryzen 5 3600 a move that makes sense? FRAMERATE - Alternative AMD CPU?

Updated to an EVGA RTX 2060 super. I have a Ryzen 5 2600. If I update to a Ryzen 5 3600 is it worth it? From what I see I would say yes. Absolutely. But I'm a fool. You people have never led me astray so I gotta ask for a second opinion. Maybe another AMD CPU is the way to go. If it's 10 FPS then it's not worth the money. But from what I can see with the 3600 it could be a lot more. Games like Red Dead 2, Cyberpunk, Fallout 76(hides in shame)

Looking at the cost I can pull it off. Just worry I'm wasting money. Thoughts? Alternatives? To make it easy no other components are a factor. I'm simply looking at GPU and CPU.

Appreciate any wisdom.

I would recommend trying to get a 5600x or waiting one more generation as the 2600 is still a pretty good processor.

a cpu upgrade alone won't do anything for framerates with a 2060, i'd save up for a 5600x+gpu, next gen gpus might come out sooner rather than later.

Appreciate it. It could be a lack of interest but I have a really hard time wrapping my head around things like this. I've been trying but I just don't get it. I would of put money down you were wrong. But as I said I trust you people 100%. Appreciate the input!

A cpu upgrade will certainly make a difference in FPS if you play games in 1080p. I have a 2070 Super, and saw a pretty large increase when I upgraded from a 3600 to a 5900x.

If I were you, I would try and get a 5600x. Its a much more capable cpu than a 3600. A 3600 will net you a some gains over a 2600, but a 5600x will get you more. I recommend watching a youtube stream running a script that checks stock and you will get one. I watched one off and on for a week, and got a 5900x on newegg. The 5600x was in stock more often too when I was looking. I watched a stream by the channel Falcodrin. The only issue with newegg, is tehy usually only have combo deals with the new Ryzens, so you might be forced to buy a motherboard or some ram to get the CPU. Amazon does get stock as well, but I never had any success there.
