Low performance build - i5 9th gen

eth_jones

Budget (including currency): £300

Country: England

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Nothing heavy, just a low intensity workstation

Other details: Building a PC for light work, no GPU required, can't find any Ryzen G CPU's in stock so looking to Intel instead. i5-9400 is the one I'm looking at, but I'm just wondering, with 8gb RAM, will the H310 chipset be alright? Or should I look at the B365 chipset?

CPU: i5-4690K @ 3.5GHz || MoBo: Asus H81M-C || RAM: 16gb Kingston HyperX Blue || Cooler: Stock intel cooler || GPU: Palit GTX 1050 || PSU: Can't remember exactly but know it meets the needs of my components || Case: White Falcon Case || SSD: Kingston 120GB || Storage: WD Blue 1TB

Do you really mean you want a build for 60 pounds? Yeah I have my doubts about that

Oh so you want a 9th gen motherboard for 60 pounds? For that budget I'd say you need H310 yeah. This one doesn't look too bad for that price: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1431198-REG/asus_prime_h310m_e_r2_0_motherboard.html

Fantastic, thank you! I haven't built with intel for a while and just wanted a second opinion before I commit, so thanks a lot
