As I mentioned above in my edit, you can do whatever you want. I'm just saying you'd be wasting money since there are better options and better value deals out there. 

Also, talking to some friends, they have seen X99 boards for under $100 on Facebook Marketplace; so your $200 motherboard is outrageously overpriced.

thx for fuking tellling me $100 board, dont worry, i know i might be losing value, but literally anything better than my dads amd a6-5400k or my old i7-2600s,  consider a win win. its not like im gonna be like, ULTRAAAAAAAAAAAAAA 12K 512HZ OLEd, no, the best graphics ive seen with my eyes are oled preview at costco, at home 1080p xbox one x, my old rig that disapeared only ran like 720p low setttings.

tbh i am thinking getting a ryzen 7 2700x, like i was gonna do with my itx build, but i got a ryzen 5 3600 but if you can find me a great 2700x or 2700, ill do it

You'll have to look yourself, unfortunately. All of the well priced ones are auctions, so anything I link could sell or end up overpriced through bids. 2700s are close to that $150 mark it seems, but you can get cheaper if you snipe an auction.

im looking, i see a 2700 $200 buy it now, no auction for a 2700 non x, ill oc obviously, and get a b450 motherboard since they are cheap asf, and gonna make my brother a itx build, if staff could move this to builds and planning that would be nice

and also, i need  help on wha tthe differences are on the zens, is there a huge performance boost 2700 vs 3600? i think the 2700 can run 36000mhz ram, and cant i just overclock cl16 kit for 3600mhz????

A 3600 will perform better in gaming, but the higher core and thread count on the 2700 will edge it to a slight victory in multithreaded workloads. All Ryzens can run 3600mhz RAM to my knowledge. Overclocking a lower rated memory kit to 3600 will depend on the memory. Some kits respond poorly to overclocks, while others can overclock to the moon. Pretty sure there's a website out there you can use to generate a memory profile to plug into the BIOS to try and get lower latency and higher clocks

they both will be running rx 480 8gb, then upgraded to a 3060 ti, my brother will suffer erformance because of pcie 3 but then we will be equal, i do more workloa crap so the ryzen 2700 might go to me instead of him.

yeah Intel ded tbh, just get ryzen and especially don't get a completely overpriced and outdated Intel, if anything get one of those 10k thingies...

seriously this is very easy to see from the outside, buying a 5yr old cpu in 2020 is, unwise... 

tbh now, my dad can use the 10 cores, he does alot of multi core tasks, but i thought i get a ryzen 5 3600 and my brother a 2700

Everyone was trying to help point out that you can get a better all around performing chip and motherboard for the same or less money, that isn't 6 years old.

 

Any way, good luck whichever way you go. I'm sure your dad will be happy running his 'multicored tasks' while pulling 250w from the wall if you manage a stable overclock on it.

welp i think that 7820x might perform better than a expsnive 2700x, but i will get my dad any build, because he needs it desperetly, i dont think a a6-5400k will last long
