Trying to Edit Config files for Multi-Monitor Placement?

Mackerel Ice Cream

My Monitors' placement is off by just a bit which is causing two annoying issues with my setup. The issues I am encountering the monitors are not right next to each other thus I am unable to move my mouse between them and the placement of monitors are off by a small amount causing incorrect mouse location within a VM. Is there a way to fine tune this process within Windows and save a configuration file for future use? Regedit, group policies, third party program? Please see the photo below.

Nvidia: four monitors

Intel's MB: three monitors

Nvidia Control Panel can't access on-board monitors through their GUI

Display Setting is the only way to control all monitors

My first reply never went through. Sorry about that.

Nirsoft's multi monitor tool is an old school open source tool that allows you to view (by the literal value) monitor arrangement, frequency, color, orientation and resolution.

Download the 64 bit version and see if there are any gaps in between the monitors there. Windows starts counting pixels at the top left of your FIRST montior, then everything else is relative to that. (screenshot to show what I mean below)

https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/multi_monitor_tool.html

As far as editing them, I don't know of a tool to give you finite control, but my troubleshooting step is usually line them all up in one direction so they smash together (Left to right), then move the monitors that require the least amount of movement into place. For this setup I would try line up all, then move 2 below ALL other monitors, then move 1 to the edge. Just make sure you line up the bottom monitor as desired before moving monitor 1.

Hope this helps!!

See how Display 2 starts it's edge on the same pixel as Display 1's edge (The "Left" measurement of display 1 = "Right" measurement of display 2)

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

Please excuse the late reply. I downloaded the application and I am messing around with it now. I don't think you can move the monitor at all. Too bad, because it displays the pixel position by X and Y axis. I wonder if I am missing something.

Not sure if this is relevant or will help, but,

One thing I have noticed, (On Linux, but probably true on Windows)

I could not place a Monitor of another GPU in between two other monitors of another GPU.

Example of Invalid Scenario for my triple monitor system, Nvidia, Intel, Nvidia

(Also Linux monitor placement is soo much easier, thier must be a config for windows somewhere?)

The NVIDIA Panel in Linux supports both Nvidia Monitors and Intel Monitors, I was able to fine tune via that. Is that not an option in the Windows Version?

One question:
How wide is monitor 2?
Are the other ones small, or is 2 big?

The second monitor is wide, really wide. 7680 pixels long. 3x Ultrawide. ha!

When I made this thread, I was thinking about monitor configuration within linux and how it's like ten times easier in linux. Configure your monitor setup, save config file, and move on with your life. Actually, I could use some advice on using Intel and Nvidia drivers together in Linux. I couldn't get it to work with multiple monitors. ^The same exact setup but in Linux. You're using Intel HD Graphics and Nvidia drivers together to display multiple monitors within Linux? How many monitors are you using? Which Window Manager are you using? What drivers are you using for Nvidia and Intel? Thank you!

Default Ubuntu (Pop Os, but shouldn't matter) with Gnome.

Everything worked outta the box, I didn't have to do anything.

I plugged one monitor into the motherboard, and the other two into my gpu.

Not even a fancy computer, a Hp ProDesk with a GT 710.

Did not have to do any configuring what so ever outside of the placement that I wanted.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

1 Intel - Right

2 NVIDIA - Left/Middle
