Uphere rgb hub pinout for Argb strip.

Youngin PC

Hello I’ve been working on this for a few minutes and discovered with the cheap Uphere fans with the rgb controller that it doesn’t have any rgb strip connectors. Just wanted to show people if they have this hub that’s it’s possible to add the rgb strip connector.  The pin outs are 5v, ground and IN, NC does nothing I measured it with a multimeter. I soldered wires to the blank solder pads so I could solder the female rgb strip connector on to those red wires. I believe you could steal the rgb from the fan connectors but that’s kind of a cluster f in my opinion.

I was about to do the same thing to my own. It seems to be the newer(?) remote controlled one, and seems like it has 2 spots for generic 5v already.

Thanks for being brave enough to try this before me.

  • 2 years later...

I lost the remote to this hub and read somewhere that there was an older hub that had a button to manually cycle the lighting modes. My question is can I jump a certain spot on this pcb to cycle the colors? If so i would like to add a button to the pcb.
