Will a new PCIe Wi-Fi card work on PCI x1 2.0?

No sweat, PCIE 2.0 still has alot of bandwidth.

PCIe 2.0 x1 provides 500 MB/s of usable bandwidth.

 

The WiFi card advertises 3000 Mbps which is equivalent to 375 MB/s. So it should be okay.
