Dual Universe brings in surprise win for Intel!

Wyndle

Dual Universe has been in beta for approximately 3 months.  During that time it was noticed that AMD gaming rigs had difficulty running the game.  It turns out that the game makes heavy use of AVX and AMD's current implementation makes this game only playable when restricted to one core.

AMD since Zen 2 are comparable to Intel at AVX performance. Is it just older Ryzens? Otherwise I'd think it is something else.

Zen 2 and higher can do AVX, but the more cores you have using it the more likely it will bog down and crash the client.
