Let’s say I want to build my Android phone...

How do I make a motherboard that can run Android? I have ideas for the specs.

 

  • CPU at 1.5GHz
  • 6GB RAM
  • 8” LCD Touchscreen
  • 128GB NAND Flash Storage

 

and can I make an Android ROM with it already rooted?

 

this sounds dumb, really dumb...

As Someone with the username “</TheCoder2019_”, my coding skills are atrocious.

Here are my specs:

16GB (2x8) Cosair Vengeance LPX CL16 - 2400MHz

An old friend of mine - Intel stock cooler (temps through the roof like 60 C under load)

just build a normal pc and use android x86 as os

building a phone from scratch is possible but if you have butt ton of engineering knowledge  

if it was useful give it a like :) btw if your into linux pay a visit here

lets just say it does not worth it

from finding a cpu 

to designing custom chips or use off the shelf ones 

to making complex pcbs

to solder all components

to engineering a custom android rom  

if it was useful give it a like :) btw if your into linux pay a visit here

You buy an existing board that already has an android port, then connect a few peripherals of your own choosing and start learning how to add support for them. 

 

That will already give you enough to learn for a year or 2 :)

It’s a CPU I found on EasyEDA

 

EDIT: I just found it’s an 8-bit microcontroller. Oof... Any CPU I CAN find that’ll run Android from EasyEDA?

If what you need is support for android apps, check out chromium os. It's the open source version of chrome os. Problem with running android on x86 based systems is that they do not have direct support for x86. Might need a layer of emulation on top to run an Android OS which might have performance penalties.
