Ryzen 2600 CPU error LED on Motherboard Due to No GPU?

Avarose

I am helping a friend with a build and upon POST the motherboard(MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max) lit up and all the fans (including CPU cooler) began spinning, however the CPU error LED on the motherboard was lit and nothing was displayed on the monitor that we plugged into the motherboard. We did not install the GPU yet as I was used to Intel and their integrated graphics and wanted to check everything else before installing it. I just read, however, that the Ryzen 2600 does not have integrated graphics. Could this be the reason the CPU error LED is on?

I think that it should have booted fine just without a signal to the monitor being sent, but this sounds like a bios check up failing to detect a gpu refusing to boot

MSI error LEDs often signal the wrong component as the problem.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
