What cable extensions can I use?

Hey guys,

 

I recently picked up a Sharkoon SilentStorm Cool Zero PSU from eBay.

 

Its a great PSU but I would like to put some cable extensions in my pc at some point.

 

Are there certain ones I should go for?

I am not able to find any CUSTOM sleeved cables for that PSU.

 

However, if you are using EXTENSIONS, any will do.

The connections going to the components (e.g. motherboard, CPU, etc) is standardized.

 

Depends on the price you want to pay.

CableMods sells cable extension kits, but premium quality + brand, so cost is more.

Yes, as @-rascal- said, there are no custom cables for that PSU, but you can get custom extensions. Cable Mod is regarded as one of the best, but there are also budget, such as aisahorse custom cables. They are around $40 USD and are great, I have some in my system. But cable Mod is probably some of there best out there!

Thanks, Ok so I have found some on Amazon.

 

My PC build is very RGB, I have a P400A Digital case from Phanteks, An ARGB light ring exhaust fan and 2 RGB strips one and top and one at right side.

 

Here's a picture.

Do you think this would look better with white or black / grey cable extensions?

Yes! That would look great! I love the RGB by the way! I would recommend picking up a new GPU soon, but if you feel comfortable with what you have, then that is awesome! But either way, that will look great, I have some white ones and they look great in my white/silver/black build!

Did you find a way to get one! I was a few minutes late and I really wanted one! But it seems like Newegg is dropping new stock every few days so I am still hopeful! No problem and good luck with the build!

No I was too late too. Its really hard to find especially as the only website that actually sold them was Scan UK.

Ah, I am just watching a live-stream where it updates every few seconds with new stock updates, but I think that it only used US websites. Good luck!

If you're in the UK Shakmods do decent extensions at a reasonable price, used them a few times, still have a few spare 6 pin PCIe extensions from them.

 

BTW I got a 3060ti FE, was spamming F5 at 2pm release day. Installed it today

Pretty good for the price, impressed at the build quality and how quiet and cool it is.  Was after a 3080 but they are rare as hens teeth at the moment.

I just ordered mine, bit more pricy than the FE but still a pretty good buy. I got the Gaming X Trio from MSI

Yeah, I was lucky enough to find one. It arrived a few days ago and it's great! I did get the FE.
