New build help!! Won’t start, no display and error codes.

Josh W

So Iv been building my first PC over the past 2-3 weeks and it’s been successful up initial now.

my parts are as follows:

x570 master - Gigabyte

Ryzen 5950x

1660 super (temporary)

1tb m.2

4tb seagate

2tb SSD

on first boot up I only had the m.2 in the machine.

Tonight I turned it on for the first and everything seems to power up. But I’m getting two error codes. a6 and 0d on the motherboard. I have posted here because the codes point towards a ram issue and also with the cpu lighr flashing.

The Dram led is red and sometimes the cpu light flickers backwards and forwards. There is also an orange light to the left of the board that comes on.

The USB ports are not working but if I plug a keyboard in to another computer turn caps on then plug the keyboard back in to the build the caps light comes on. So there is power there.

I have read other forums and things I have done are as follows:

- re seated ram

- moved the GPU to a different slot

- took out all storage

- moved ram

- used a single stick of ram

- made sure the GPU was working on another computer.

- re fit the cpu and water pump

because there is no display I can’t boot in to bios or anything.

Im at a loose end!! Any help will be appreciated.

thanks!

I think you need a BIOS update

Ye things have been pointing to that, I’m not sure how I would go about it when I can’t see anything on the screen 😅 heads fried.

Sorry, realized your motherboard has a Qflash Plus button and not the auto sense. Page 6 of your unique features manual says you need to push the Q Flash Plus button.

I just stumbled across a video saying the same thing. Hopefully this is the issue. I’m going to get the flash drive ready. Thankyou for your input.
