Should I get the Ryzen 5 5600x

Hi Guys,

 

Im looking to upgrade my PC to a Ryzen 5 5600X and a 3060 ti/ 3070 whenever I have the chance of actually getting one that is. Ive found a 5 5600x and would pair it with the MSI b550 carbon wifi but that means I would still be using my old GPU the 1060 6gb so I know my cpu will throttle my gpu.

 

Should I wait and get a better gpu first to go with my 1440p 144hz monitor then get a better cpu/ mobo? I only play a few games at the moment and mainly use my pc for video and photo editing and can feel it getting slower. Any tips/ help is appreciated.

amd 5 1600x 

asus 1060 6gb 

b350plus mobo

16gb ram

grab the 5600x now and buy the GPU later. You won't be seeing a 5600x for the next 3 months

5600x is 100% the right choice , can't say for sure with everything that's coming out about the gpu, i'd say for 1440p/144hz 3070 minimum, but ya, cpu first if u can get it.
