Light gaming PC for my mum

Budget (including currency): ~ 600€

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games: Cities Skylines, Planet Zoo Other programs: Clip studio paint (Drawing program) 

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): My mum currently has a laptop but wants something what she can play cities skylines with at more than 20fps. She has peripherals and a monitor. The monitor is 4k (for drawing) but she is ok with playing at 1080p.

Looks pretty good. I just switched out the drive for NVME, much faster without much more cost, and the case for a Focus G with one extra fan which should have better air flow.

Ok, thank you! The NVME's I found started like 20€ more expensive so I chose the 2.5" SSD. For the case Ill just go with something cheap with as many fans as possible. My mum doesnt care for the aestetics. She will put it in the corner anyways. But I'll keep the Focus G in mind ty!

Ok, Thank you! The HDD isnt neccesary. My mum really doesnt need much storage. Her laptop has 128gb I think and she gets along with that. Two quesions tho:

1) will the 4GB Vram on the 1650 S be enough for the next years? It wont have to run the most graphically intensive games, but Planet Zoo can be quite demanding I feel

2) Does the i3 come with a cooler? or do I need to boy one extra?

The 1650 Super is a better option vs the RX 570, I don't think the VRAM will limit you at 1080p at the resolutions you will be playing.

 

I do not recommend you go for the i3. The Ryzen 3100 is much stronger. But it does come with a cooler.

i3 has a stock cooler, and 4gb will be enough for light gaming for the next 5 years or so.

should be great for light-medium gaming for the next 5 years, plus the ram, cpu and gpu are easily upgradeable. if you ever decide to upgrade, i would go with another 8/16gb of the same RAM, an i5-10400f and an rtx 3060ti

i3 is 30-40 euros cheaper than the ryzen and it is 10% better, plus the i3 has 8 threads over the r3's 4 threads. i think it also has HTT enabled.

Ok Tyy! Ill see what Ill take. It is better to go a bit under budget than fill it completely for the last bit of power for her so Ill rather take the weaker graphics card but Ill see how prices will develop ofc!

Ryzen 3 3100 has SMT. It has 4 cores 8 threads.
