My BIOS resolution strech!!

Hi, guy i'm an armature PC enthusiasm and i encounter a problem. I'm using a 3440x1440 screen when i enter my BIOS the resolution look like a 1080p strech out and everything look laggy.
I do abit of research and i found out update my bios might fix the problem, but since i never done it before i was afraid i might mess it up ( the official website did say smt about making BIOS flash before i update it?).
I would like to know will this fix my problem if i update my BIOS and what should i not do to mess this up

Thank you for your answer

It's pretty common, just live with it. Don't think any BIOS supports ultrawide screens.
