B550 vs X570 for 5800x

I know this has been asked before but I've not fully understand the answers re: number of PCIE 3/4 lanes.

 

In my case, I'll have a single GPU (let's say a 3080) and a single PCIE 4.0 M.2 drive. Will there be any performance difference whatsoever between X570 / B550 in my case?

No.

 

If you wanted to add more things in the future you'd start to have a performance hit.

Thanks! I do not want a motherboard fan which is why I really wanted to avoid X570.
