New rig with r5 5600x + RTX 3060ti

AdamN

Hello.

I'm currently in a process of picking parts for a completely new rig that will be used for 1440p Ultra Wide gaming and occasional video editing. I'm pretty much set on the CPU/GPU/Case/SSD, so the question is whether this build could be improved on any further or if there are any compatibility issues present. This is what I got so far:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600x

CPU cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock 2 120mm

GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GAMING X TRIO 8GB GDDR6

MB: Gigabyte B550 AORUS PRO AC (I need both WiFi and Bluetooth + something that I could possibly upgrade on to CPU with more cores later on - that's why this MB seemed like a perfect fit)

SSD: Samsung 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe 970 EVO

RAM: G.SKILL 16GB (2x8GB) 3600MHz CL16 TridentZ RGB Neo (RAM is where I'm having problems choosing the right fit. I've read that with some motherboards you can currently use up to 3200MHz only with R5 5600x)

PSU: Corsair TX 650W 80 Plus Gold (650W to be on the safe side in case of future upgrades)

Case: be quiet! Pure Base 500DX (edit: I thought that B550 AORUS AC has a USB-C connector for the case but it looks like I was mistaken, so I will probably be swapping the 500dx case for something cheaper.)

Case v2: Phanteks Eclipse P400A Digital

Thanks in advance.😘

Looks good to me. You should have no problem enabling DOCP on the G Skill kit. I have a 3600 CL16 kit in my system and it was virtually plug and play.

Already ordered Xiaomi 34 Curved. Seemed like a no brainer for the price and it was available for instant shipping.

Also, in the build I decided to swap the CPU cooling for Arctic Freezer 34 eSports + added be quiet! Silent Wings 3 as exhaust fan. Depending on availability I might also go from rtx 3060 to 3070.

No more ideas for changes so far.🤔
