Building a rendering workstation 1200USD

Kasparasgre

Budget (including currency): ~1200USD (1000 Euro)

Country: Lithuania, Europe

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 3DS max with Vray

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Only the tower itself is needed, monitors and peripherals are staying from last system.

Upgrading from:
CPU: Intel I7-6700

GPU: Radeon RX480 8GB

RAM: 16GB 2133MHz

MB: MSI Bazooka B150M

SSD: Kingston A400 240GB

PC is mostly used for rendering with 3ds max, vray, so performance i this specific field is most important.

Having in mind the budget (1200-ish USD) what should I build and will this budget give me a significant performance boost?

Plan would be to buy ASAP, maybe for christmas, unless there is some hardware upcoming that is worth the wait.

Thanks for a fast reply.
In case of budget increase or decrease +-150eur (it is not strictly set), what components could be upgraded or downgraded? Also, which part of the system is essential for my previously mentioned tasks?

i've done a bit of research and it seems the cpu is the most important for 3dmax and vray.

with the extra budget, i'd upgrade to a 3900x or a 5800x(if you can find one).

I play valorant a lot (in fact I just got off it lol)

and your system looks completely fine for 144fps on Val.

if you had to upgrade, you could wait for a 3600 to come in stock, and then you could snag a used 1070, and then buy a new mobo and ram

geometry is hard
b550 > x570
