New MOBO in new case, lights up, no boot

benJi2D

Hello there people! If my job (working from home because of the situation in the world) was not depending on having my computer up and running, I would try everything before I post a topic, but I've been trying for the past 7 hours with no luck and that's why I'm asking you.
So I build a new PC recently in my old case, got money this month, bought a new case and decided  to move the parts to the new case. I directly picked up the mobo + cpu + cpu fan and RAM and put  it inside the new case, then I pluged in the GPU, the new case fans and the PSU. Before I plugged every other cable in I wanted to see if the new fans are working so I started the machine, the mobo light up and that was all. No error message, no fans spinning, no picutre, no sound, no nothing...just a few lights on the motherboard. So my specs are Maximus XII Hero, 10700k, Samsung EVO 970 (it was inside the mobo the whole time, still there), Cooler Master 1000W M2, Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2 x 16 and RTX 3080 and I have a few HDDs but only one was plugged in.
So, I have two SSDs and my older PC was running with Windows 10 on the older SSD and when I bought a new SSD and new PC parts, I still insterted the old SSD in the new PC and on every boot the PC asked me which OS I would like to boot up. The older SSD was not inside the PC. I tried plugging it in, no help.
Another thing, the GPU was stuck and there was no way to press the little thing on the slot to release it, so I tried with a screw and I hit the mobo two times. I think no scratches, but might be. Also, while trying to pull out the GPU I bend the mobo a few times. Not something extreme, just a little. I read somewhere that the wrong screws may cause a problem, I used the screws from the new case, cuzt he old ones could even screw, they were bigger than the holes.
I got the PSU to a friends house to try it, his PC turned on. It had booting issue, but we got past the mobo Logo, his fans were spinning etc. On my PC, this does not happen, so I assumed it's not that. I removed the RAM, CPU, CPU FAN and plugged everything back in again. I removed the mobo battery and inserted back in. I tried getting everything out of the case, put it on the wooden floor and tried like this, still no success. I don't know what else I tried...but nothing worked.
PLEASE any help would be hugely appreciated, because it's 03:00 AM here and I have to work from home at 09:00 AM and I have no PC to do so and this will be really bad for me, especially if I don't fix the problem tomorrow. If I didn't need my PC urgently I would just get it somewhere and pay to find the issue and fix it, but I can't right now. Also, because of the pandemic, nearly everything is closed in my city...only food and pharmacy. The timing could not be worse.
I hope I didn't break the motherboard or something else and the issue is something small and you could figure it out, please help :(

Hey, look at the top right of your motherboard. Tell me the number you see in the little screen and the color of the leds right below it.

That's another thing I forgot to mention, it does not light up, no error message. Only thing that light up is the logo Hero, the ROG logo and the Start and Flex buttons. Does the error screen need a cable to be pluggen in to work?

Try this checklist https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/no-post-system-wont-boot-and-no-video-output-troubleshooting-checklist.1285536/

But first, can you send me a picture? It might help me help you.

Okay...the problem was me hitting it with the screwdriver. I damaged some transistor or something and I got extremely lucky that the father of my girlfriend wrote me early in the morning about something and I casualy told him to wait, because I don't have a PC and he said "why, wha'ts wrong, we have a specialist at the office, he fixes our stuff, bring the PC here" so after 30 min he found the problem and fix it. I got extremely lucky and I'm super grateful.

Thank you for the fast replies! And people, please be gentle with your tech, don't be like me. Those PC parts can't take a beating (what a surprise really)
