Should I bother with Cat 7?

Gazeley

I just ordered a Cat 7 Ethernet cable, I was under the impression this is better than the previous Cat6/a cables but I've watched explaining there's no real benefit and I've been told they damage easier. Is this the case? I plan to have the cable run under the floor, around 10m.
The cable I've bought: https://www.amazon.co.uk/KabelDirekt-connectors-Ethernet-transfers-suitable-Black/dp/B0843WLW6S/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=kabeldirekt+ethernet+10m&qid=1606907989&sr=8-3

If you ordered, then it's fine, it's just stiffer than cat 5e/6, because of more isolaton and capable of 10Gbps.

Multi-mode fiber is a better purchase than Cat7

Where I live, you mostly find CAT7a in stores so I went for that during my home renovation where I ran cables everywhere.

Works fine, but as said above the cable is rather stiff and can be complicated to terminate if the socket is not on a dry wall where the cable can easily be pushed in. If you've got to install that into concrete walls, make sure to buy deep installation boxes. Same goes for the server rack where the stiffness becomes annoying to properly run the cables behind the equipment when you are not using a deep rack.

Even if it is impossible to really make use of the CAT7a cable without the GG45/Terra connectors (no devices use it ...), it can be handy when you have to run the cable close to electricity. In a renovation that's often something you have to do in certain areas and the extra shielding of CAT7 help to achieve to 10Gbps speeds.

My conclusion for CAT7 is always to use it when the price compared to CAT6a is minimal and you've got space to work with it in your walls, rack
