I got curious and thought I'd see what availability is like in UK. Note I did this slightly after they were released, I wasn't camping on the dot.

Scan: I failed the captcha multiple times before I could look on their 3060Ti page, nothing orderable.

nvidia: it redirected me to a special page on Scan, but it wouldn't let me add to basket

ebuyer: didn't see any available

novatech: a model was available at £480 but now gone, some still available at £500+ at time of posting

I'm refreshing novatech's page to see the stock change in real time. The cards that were there when I last posted are gone, but one popped up again at £470 (presumably someone failed to checkout). Don't expect that to be there by the time I hit post here.

Wait, I didn't notice that earlier. nvidia FE was £369. The AIB cards I saw on novatech in stock earlier, and still sold, started £470. Pricing is nuts...

Scan are being very good with pricing at RRP.  Annoys me when I see retailers jacking up pricing.

aaaaaand they're gone
aaaaaand they're on ebay for over £600 LMAO who the f##k would pay £600+ for a 3060Ti????

I was monitoring a few sites, missed out on a founders that I genuinely would have bouhgt for my son (currently on a 1060) but could have had an AIB card for £450 - £460 but then I thought even that was too much money for a mid level card.

It's not like you even need anything better than a 1080 or a 5700 anyway!

FE was never available in my country from any retailer. :( I did decide to go for Asus TUF (again) because I've understood that the 3 fan model is good.

I did order 3060 ti from our local "BestBuy" 1 min before they officially launched (maybe bug on website). It still say "pending" 5 hours later so I got no idea if I did manage to get one or not. I might cancel my order tomorrow afternoon if it's still pending because I won't wait for 4 months to get one.

oh 3060 is plenty enough

i'm playing in QHD (thats 2560 x 1440) with highest settings, at 60 fps

With a gtx 1070

depends on the games you play, you can play overwatch esports etc.  4k highest is very taxing, signficantly moreso than 1440p.  AAA games you will not get highest settings, I can directly verify this.  I can get close to (but not highest) settings with my very overclocked 2080ti that sits between a 3070 and 3080.  But in AAA (AC valhalla for example), it wont maintain 60fps on ultra, have to turn it down to get that.  On less taxing games, its doable.

The only AAA games i'm going to play are Hitman 3 (which is quite well optimized, as i was able to run it in qhd at 45-50 fps max settings) and Star Citizen.

Everything else is either older or way less demanding (random example: Halo MCC)
