Pump tach and 2 fans plugged into cpu_fan header

thortor

Hello,

I have nzxt h210 case which comes with 2 nzxt fans that connect with 3pin plugs. I recently bought corsair h100x liquid cpu cooler which requires me to connect pump tachometer plug into cpu_fan header and two other fans with y splitter. My mobo ( aorus b450i ) comes with only one cpu_fan header and one sys_fan header. The question is can I connect pump tachometer plug and two remaining nzxt fans to cpu_fan header using 3x4pin pwm splitter?

Thanks in advance

The pump is powered by a sata power connector so you can just leave the pump header unplugged since it's just for reporting rpm. Splitters only read the rpm from one fan so it'd probably be more useful for monitoring case fan speeds.

Thank you. Can you explain how this pump works? Does it control pump speed depending on the temperature? I am attaching screenshot (describing step I am concerned about) from the manual just to make sure that I understand correctly.

I'm not sure but what I've read so far indicates that it runs at a static max rpm.
