Building a ridiculous specimen

Fantasy-builds are against the community-rules, so that's my thoughts on this.

Why is it a fantasy build? This is something I plan on putting together within the next couple of months

Thoughts?

Why?

Why do you need a 700 dollar cpu?
Why do you need a 700 dollar motherboard?

Why do you need  a ram kit for 900 dollars?

Why do you need a 500 dollar ssd?

Why do you need a 1500 dollar graphics card?

Why do you need a $250 case?

Why do you need a 1600w power supply?

Why do you need a windows pro liciense?

Why do you need a 300 dollar sound card?

Why do you need a gigabit lan card when your motherboard has 10 gig?

Why do you need a fan hub for $80?

Why do you need two 400 dollar displays?

Why don't you get a keycult no.2 rev 1 instead of a g19?

Why is the mouse $400?

Why so much external hard drive?

Why does this build exist?

"Building a ridiculous specimen" definitely sounds like a fantasy-build.

The PCIe network card is unnecessary - your motherboard has 2.5Gb LAN built in.

Also, get another FTW3 and run them in SLI.

There are bigger M.2 SSDs, such as these 4TB ones:

https://www.newegg.com/corsair-4tb-force-mp510/p/N82E16820236658?Description=m.2 ssd 4tb&cm_re=m.2_ssd 4tb-_-20-236-658-_-Product&quicklink=true

Get a Ryzen 9 5950X instead of a 3950X.

64GB of RAM instead of 16GB - if you're spending $500 on storage, spend more on RAM. 16GB isn't really enough for a 5950X and 2 3090s.

Also, you need a cooler.

so which ram would you suggest? I figured at 5100 that it would be faster but after some research it seems some motherboards can go past a certain amount?

I will put a custom loop on the computer, so that isn't on the list.

I am using those SSDs because there will be an external drive to house most of my saved data

For those of you honestly wanting to know "why" I am building this.

Some people want a Lambourghini...I just want mine in my home. That is all.

But instead of buying a Lamborghini you bought a Henry ford as that what happens when you sort by highest price.

I assure you that I did not go by the highest price on any of these. I looked at the specs, and thought it would be close to what I want. Now I am asking for advice to clean it up before I start purchasing the parts. If I get it right the first time, it will be a long time before i need to worry about it again.

Then what you can do is explain what this system is for.

Fill this out.

Budget (including currency):

Country:

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

If you didn't sort by highest price then you obviously didn't research.

1. If you want a lambo then a 3950x needs to be ripped for a 5950x

2. I would really like to know what feature of the godlike you wan't that a cheaper motherboard doesn't have.

3. You know that this memory will preform worse than a 4000 cl 16 kit

4. Honestly the ssds are the most normal over the top part of this build

5. I don't know if you're planning to buy a 3090 for 2300 when it sells for 1500 but don't

6. At least you didn't get an inwin case

7. It doesn't matter that you're build will never draw more than 700 watts even when overclocked

8. Yet again what feature of windows pro did you want?

9. You're way better off getting an external dac/amp combo then getting a sound card

10. I'm really confused on why you need an extra 1 gig when your motherboard has plenty lan options

11. You don't even have fans in the build but if you do why in the world do you need a screen on the fan hub? You will never see it and it is much better to adjust fan speeds and curves in bios.

12. You're getting a 3090 but only 1080p monitors?

13. A G19 for 790 dollars. For that money you could buy a keycult no 2 rev 1 which is way better

14. For that price you can get way better mouse than a g303 that has a 70 dollars msrp

15. Why not get 2 internal 14tb hardrives for a considerable amount less money?

16 This doesn't seem like a streaming setup but you're buying a camera?

If you are serious, post new thread with your budget and actual parts list.

Those same people wouldn't take marked-up prices just because stuff is out of stock. Most of your higher priced items on that list are higher priced because of how Amazon's algorithm works. It will raise price for out of stock items which are frequently viewed. Aka parts listed in PCPP which crawls websites.

Simple example is your chosen mouse which retails for $70. Keyboard is 7 years old, and is listed because it used to be golden standard for gamers. You don't get that new anymore. Fan controller, network and soundcards are waste of money in this "price point". Fan controller being a joke since your chosen case doesn't have 5.25" bay for it. Not to mention that you are getting just 16gigs of RAM and missed chance on selecting some out of stock CPU cooler.

So please, pick price point, and ask for suggestions. Mine would be to go for boutique builder if you want something for over $2500. People don't go to Ford dealership when they want Lamborghini.
