AMD A6 3650 APU with Radeon 6570 HD Graphics not able to run Windows 10 very well

boomerangos

I don't want to have to replace my computer

it is a 10 year old computer and my Laptop outperforms it

even though it has lower benchmarks

anyway to make it run faster

It's been 10 years. It had a good run.

The only thing you can probably do is to put an SSD in it. Anything else would be waisting money.

But I already have an ssd in there

the ssd is from 2017 with Windows 10

It couldn't run a game that had low minimum requirements

1.2ghz dual core processor or better

1GB of video memory

1GB of ram

The AMD A6 3650 has Radeon HD Graphics

its clocked at 2.6ghz

if it was useful give it a like :) btw if your into linux pay a visit here

never believe those minimum requirements, or expect something 10 years old to run a game.

I can't run the game in Linux or Windows 7 because the game requires xbox live

How do I get the xbox live on Windows 7

@boomerangos

My old laptop with an A8 4555M had problems running Windows 10, as it is slower than a lot of old mobile Core 2 Duo that are 5 years older. So that's just how bad that APU is.

Either look up Windows 10 optimization guides (not telemetry based, but performance based)

Techyescity has decent WIN10 guides.

Will help reduce background processes and swaps/competing against the limited hardware available.

Or reinstall Win7 or 8.1 (using StartisBack) to remove the 8.1 theme tiles and return the StartMenu to normal but with 8.1 enhancements over W7. (Task manager and the like)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

you might be able to cut down in 10 to run it smoother but its not going to be better

I have a Windows 8.1 already but problem is internet is broken on it

Ethernet will not be recognized as having internet

Wifi will connect but won't have a internet connection

When I try to uninstall apps the app that brings up the uninstaller doesn't ever launch

doesn't matter which app I try to uninstall

Its so broken I don't even know how I would repair it to work again

I used the

WIndows 10 debloater

and that reduced ram usage but made WIndows 10 useable

I saw less crashing and going to the BSOD

You will have to return to Windows 7 or 8.1.

Windows 10 is very bloated and heavy.

Whats the point of this thread? Are you asking how to make Win10 run lighter? Or options to it? Or hardware upgrades? Since it sounds like you are just whining that your 10yo hardware can't run 5yo OS. And then trashing every reply while not telling what you are trying to achieve.

Windows 10 is fine on older hardware, but it REALLY needs a good SSD and a decent amount of ram.

We have plenty machines at work which are Core2Quad, and some Core2Duo, which run Windows 10, Chrome, MS Access etc all perfectly well.

They do all have at least 8GB of ram and a decent SSD though.

Gaming ofcourse is entirely different story. No 10 year old CPU had onboard graphics that was capable of anything more than running basic windows apps.

If you want to run older games, you'll need to install an actual GPU. Something cheap like a 750ti would likely work well and be a reasonable match for the capabilities of the rest of the machine.

Reinstall 8.1 like he said. Then everything should work properly.

Those are actually rather substantial CPUs compared to the A6 the OP is using. I actually thought this was one of the more recent ones, but it turns out this is actually one of the first APUs launched.

my C2Q and HD3650 can run minecraft. And the q6600 came out in  2007

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

The 3650 is a quad core using K10 cores. So really, its somewhere inline with a Core2Quad. It lagged behind its peers at launch, but its peers were 1st and 2nd gen i5's so clearly its junk compared to those.

Its old, but it really should not struggle running Windows 10.

I'm not sure about that. The q6600 is an absolute beast compared to that A6. I agree that the A6 should run windows 10 fine though.

Windows is gonna chug on that. You said you've already put in an SSD, so there isn't much else you should be spending money on for this. I would throw on a lightweight Linux distro of some sort. That should give you a bit more life out of it.
