RTX 3070, 3700x Ryzen FPS Problems

OzGaming

Hey guys, i have a RTX 3070 and a 3700x Ryzen. My frames are almost halfway what they should be according to benchmarks, and it’s insanely annoying because i know somethings not right. Help please.

RTX 3070, Ryzen 3700x, 2 Sticks of 16GB Trident Z RAM, Kraken Z63 AIO, MSI Mag Tomahawk X570, 650W EVGA PSU

can you post a userbenchmark run here?

I recommend you stop using userbenchmark now, if you haven't seen all of the shit about, you should go look to.

but OP: running 3d mark timespy and comparing your scores to other systems is worth looking at.

What scenario are you seeing half the frames you expect?

What game, what resolution, what settings what fps?

Is this a brand new build?

Do you have PBO enabled?

Do you have xmp/dcop profile for your RAM enabled?

Is your RAM in the proper slots?

Pretty much any game I play, i’m comparing to many you tubers who ran benchmarks with my same system. Many games like Valorant, Fortnite, COD Warzone, COD Cold War. 1920 x 1080p, everything is on low, every single setting is on low. Many bench marks around with my build are getting roughly around 180 FPS on fortnite with everything on Ultra graphics yet I can’t even get above the 140 range. In Valorant I am only gettin around 130ish but many you tubers have ram Valorant in 4K with everything on high/ultra settings and are getting equal frames to me.

This build is rather new, roughly about 1-2 months new.

I don’t believe i have PBO on, doesn’t that void the Ryzen warranty anyway?

Idk how to check that profile thing for the RAM.

Yes RAM is in correct slots.

You should enable pbo.

generally I wouldn’t worry about the chip dying unless you are doing some stupid over clocking. Pbo is fine
They would void the warranty if you tell them you had pbo on.
*AND not backing their own overclocked is bs*

you also should enable xmp profile for your ram. A little search on YouTube should help.

If you need help with that then come back.

do you have the amd chipset drivers and nvidia drivers up to date?

I complete uninstalled NVIDIA drivers a and reinstalled drivers today. I also ran a 3D spytime test today and got a 10,000 and got lower numbers than the average specs for my pc. Not sure if i want to turn on PBO just yet, wanna try everything else first. I’ll look into XMP and get back to you. We’re you able to add my discord?
