If you're considering buying RAM for a system with an old 2nd gen Ryzen CPU and an RX 570, I would get the cheaper RAM.

Otherwise, spend your money on more meaningful gains.

Isn't 2nd gen Ryzen 3000? Zen+ just a refresh or have I got confused?

Anyway @dave2700, Kingston HyperX 3200 cl16 should be reasonably priced and I think it will be hard to find much cheaper.

1600 1st gen

2600 2nd gen

3600 3rd gen

5600x 4th gen

I mean yes its a refresh, but so is skylake 6000 series to 10000 series but we still call them 6th gen, 7th gen, etc.

but spending $50 more on faster ram isnt as helpful as spending $50 more on a 3600
