LMG's new Apple focused channel

For those of you who are unaware, Linus Media Group is planning to launch another channel dedicated to Apple Inc. products, services, and reviews. I've found this under their job posting which can be found here. Personally, Im quite excited. As an Apple Fanboy myself, I've found LTT's reviews as completely honest. Although, over the years, many have criticized LMG's "Anti-Apple Shill" like qualities and PCMR attitude. This channel may be an attempt to redeem that reputation and give an equal spotlight to Apple fans as currently the LTT channel primarily focuses on windows based applications, hardware, etc. However, this is simply a speculation. What are your thoughts on the new channel?

I can't stand how clickbaity their Apple videos are. They will go to the extreme and use titles that are downright false or make outlandish claims just to stir the community to get more views at the cost of looking like an idiot. I have no doubt all their videos on a new channel will be just as extreme.

I don't think it should be a Apple focused channel because frankly there isn't much content in the beginning of the year, so what I think they'll end up doing is making it a general "other tech" channel with products like phones, smart home things, and other random tech.

actually it could be the opposite, they may be spinning off the apple stuff not to upset the actual stakeholders of LTT (pcmr, IT server room types, kids assembling PCs and windows PC related brands), so the actual snowflakes to protect could be the apple skeptics 

 

let’s not pretend apple enthusiasts matter that much to the LMG bottomline

Are they, though? In reality they are pretty price competitive. 
 

Look at an iMac and then price out a PC workstation that comes with a hyper accurate/high depth 5K display, workstation (Quadro/Firepro) GPU, top of the line workstation NVMe and and a case made entirely of metal. 
 

You’ll quickly come to realize that Apple products aren’t overpriced. Instead, they’re built with premium parts which you may or may not desire as a non professional.

lol they really don't. LLT videos are really basic and pretty average when compared to other youtubers, but that's expected since it's a general tech channel for the broad consumer out there instead of being a niche thing like serve the home.
