iPhone SE 2020 Review After 24h - Speed, Power, Elegance

introduction:
This will be a review of my iPhone SE 2020. i’ve owned it for about 24 hours now, and spoiler, it’s amazing. 

before this i owned an iPhone 6s, which i had for about a year, and before that an iPhone 7, which i had for about a year and a half. 


performance
coming from an A9, the A13 in here is simply amazing. apps open instantly, there’s no lag when multitasking, everything is just instant. even when installing like 30 apps and doing other stuff like setting up my google account and whatsapp etc, it was snappy. 

it also seems to run much much cooler. no matter what i do on it i can’t get it to heat up. my contrast my 6s gets very warm when playing youtube and installing updates in the background for example. this phone doesn’t break a sweat doing that. 


sound
this is another big area of improvement over the 6s i’m used to. i’m used to sound only coming out of the bottom, not out of the earpiece speaker too. my 7 had this and i remember missing it when i went to the 6s, and i’m very glad to have it back. 

i don’t mind losing the headphone jack of the 6s, i never used it anyway.


touchid
the touchid is much much better on this phone. my 6s is quite slow with fingerprints and weirdly it forgets my prints after a day. it’s been a day with the SE and it still remembers my prints and unlocks almost instantly when i rest my finger on the home button.

i think the phone looks excellent. i got it in white obviously, and i’m happy i picked it over red or black. this version of the phone looks the best imo (my mom has a red SE, and i prefer the look of this). 


camera
i haven’t messed with it much, here are some photo’s i quickly took with it.

i still have to get used to it, so don't take these as the best this phone can do!

conclusion
i’m super happy with my purchase, and i’m looking forward to hopefully many happy years of using this phone.

Nice review, I'm waiting for Apple to change up the screen with microLED and a smaller notch or some new technology.

I have the same phone and like it quite a bit, but why are you doing that to your vinyls?!

doing what? putting phones on them? i very carefully place them and i make sure they don't move. 

 

even so, these are old records that pop and crack all over the place when played, and have loads of scratches already. so even if that does damage them it's not that big of a deal, they are nowhere near perfect condition.

I tried to use this phone for awhile and I loved the small size, the power, the camera, the software... everything felt right, except the screen.

The screen is really small together with giant bezels was a deal breaker for me, I had to return it after a week.

 

The iPhone 12 Mini looks sexy tho, and it has everything I want, but I'm gonna wait for next year Mini phone when they get rid of the notch.

Oh boy the notch on small iPhone is gigantic.

maybe it's because i have small hands and i'm used to it, but i have no problems with it. even with the 4s i showed in the camera samples i have no issues, and that display is comically smally nowadays lol.
