ADM Ryzen 5600X Vs Ryzen 5 3600

Hi Everyone.

 

Hoping everyone can shed some info.

 

I'm looking to know if its worse upgrading to the Ryzen 5 5600X.

I only do gaming. My current Rig is below.

 

CPU:  - Ryzen 5 3600

MBD: - Asrock X470

RAM: 16GB 3600Mhz

GPU: - Palit 3070

 

My Questiuon is going from a 3600 to a 5600x, is it worth it?

Roughly what type of FPS gains am i looking at.

Are you hitting your preferred frame rate targets with your current build?

 

1. Yes: Don't upgrade
2. No (move onto next question)

with "no" then turning into the question:

Is the extra frames with the extra money for the games you play?

1. Yes: Upgrade
2. No: Don't upgrade

It's definitely not "worse".
Worth it... Probably not...

What resolution and frame rate do you game at?

Depends on your gaming resolution. If you are playing on 1080p you might get better gains and on 1440p not so much.

 

Im in the process of building my PC right now i can get 3600/3600x for like 200 euros and 5600x are still not here locally but i suspect they are gonna be at least 370-400 euros so i dont think its worth at this point.

There's not really any reason to upgrade. If you want some higher framerates (and you shouldn't really need them, unless you have a 1080p 240hz monitor), and you're still using the stock cooler, get a cooler upgrade and overclock.
