RTX 2070S or RX 5700XT

i am going to be upgrading my videocard.

 

RTX 2070S or RX 5700XT?

 

where i am from. these two cards are selling at the exact same price 23,000 Php. around 460$

 

what would be the better card in the long run. i want it to last hopefully the next 4-5 years :<

 

for reference. i currently am using a RX590 OC to 1625Mhz

For the same price the 2070S is better. Raw performance is very similar, but you get the many software advantages from NVIDIA and also DLSS, so in supported games you get quite a bit more performance on top. Ray-tracing is also a nice bonus, but the GPU is not really fast enough to deliver good performance while using that.

do you think this card will still be good in the next 4-5 years?

I am only playing on a 1080p 75hz monitor

Sure, for this resolution/refresh rate it's gonna be fine for the next years. DLSS implementations are only going to get more and in the long run the 2070S should be the better choice.

A 2070S should be plenty fine for 1080p 75hz for the next few years, especially as things like DLSS mature.

i was thinking that the AMD card wouldve been better since its newer
