How good? have you look at Ryzen 5600x performance?

Intel 660p is not a good performer, it's cheap though.

Ryzen 5700g @ 4.4ghz all cores | Asrock B550M Steel Legend | 3060 | 2x 16gb Micron E 2666 @ 4200mhz cl16 | 500gb WD SN750 | 12 TB HDD | Deepcool Gammax 400 w/ 2 delta 4000rpm push pull | Antec Neo Eco Zen 500w

i got the i7 for half the price i did wanted the new amd but getting a i710700 160usd was a winner in that case.

planning on getting a better ssd in the future and using this one only for storage

wow, $160? that's really good. maybe he's buying a 5600x and let you take it for half price. haha.

for ssd, samsung 970 is the paramount, but it's pricey, i recommend wd 850 or 750.

or if you want samsung with a cheaper price, do what i did with getting a OEM samsung pm981 (970 equivalent).
