M.2 SSD wont show up

ToggelMoggel

Hello everyone, I am in the need of some help,

I recently bought a Samsung 970 Evo NVMe M.2 SSD 1tb With V-nand, I have put it into my PC but it does not seem to show up.

I already have a SATA SSD and hard drive installed and running. I cant seem to find a place to see if the M.2 ssd is installed in the bios, just options for SATA.

My specs are

I7-4790K

Maximus VII Ranger

RTX 2070

Samsung evo 250gb SATA SSD.

Segate 2tb Hard drive

16gb HyperX Ram

and ofcourse the new 1TB M.2 970 Evo

Is there some incompatability I might have missed or can anyone see a glaring issue?

Thanks in advance :)

Do you have anything installed in the bottom black PCIe slot? If so, it disables the M.2 slot and PCIe 1x slots.

If not, there's a setting for disabling PCIe x4 which is default auto mode, so look for that in the BIOS.

*1: The PCIe 2.0 x 16 slot (PCIEX4_3) shares bandwith with PCIe 2.0 x1 and M.2 slot. The default setting is Auto Mode, which automatically optimizes the system bandwidth. If you install a PCIe 2.0 x4 device, the system will automatically detect and disable PCIe 2.0 x1 and M.2 slot.
