Looking for a sfx psu for a top of the line pc

Seasonic Focus SGX-650 is probably what youre looking for, modular SFX, 650w, 80+ gold and not too expensive for what it is.

Would 650w be enough for 3080 an 5900x ocd?

A 5900x even at OC + other board components is still under 300w pulled at load. With a 3080 youd still stay under 600w under peak synthetic load across all components in the system.

Which isnt a realistic case, theres rarely going to be a time when your cpu, gpu, memory, drives, motherboard, 20 fans and controller are ever at maximum power draw unless you do it on purpose.

Once you get above that 650w point and start going into 700w+ you start seeing price go up dramatically. Its not worth it for that peace of mind for me, but if you want to make sure you have 150w or more of headroom when completely maxed out then it might be worth it for you.

But otherwise no, 650w will be plenty for that configuration

I am looking to switch to the o11d mini which uses a sfx psu. I was wondering what sfx psu would be fit for use with 3080 and 5900x running on a custom loop?

NO, just no....

Not a good idea...

650W is not enough for a 3080... PERIOD.

And trying to actually run one on an SFX PSU is just not a good idea.

Would be best to completely rethink what you want to do and or pick another card other than a 3080 or 3090.

I am deadest on using the O11d mini and need to use NVidia over AMD because I use Blender. Would a the V850 SFX GOLD work?

I don't know, it's possible.
